As mentioned in a Tweet this morning .. does Celtx plan an Android release like the iPad release? Users and deciding-users want to know!

Hi, Leslie. Development is underway for an Android version of the Celtx Script app. Release date TBD.

Hi,
Sorry but could you be a little less vague about it? Does "TBD" mean this year? Next year? The year after that? To be honest I'm struggling to understand why, if you charge for the app on the IOS market, it is taking so long to bring it to the larger android market.

I too am an Android user and would love too see a celtx app i could use on my tablet. I frequently use celtx and it would be helpful to have a little more information on an Android release.

Hi, Nate and Raj... there are a number of reasons why this has taken longer than hoped, but know that we now have a dedicated person working on the development of the Celtx Script Android app, which incidentally, is not an iOS port. We're working on and testing a version built from scratch, hence another reason for the delay. But if all goes well from here, we're guessing an ETA of late Spring /12. So hopefully you can hang in there just a little bit longer... - S

It's nice to hear there is an ETA of late Spring 2012. I work as a Application Development recruiter and have a terrible time finding Android developers so I can imagine why it took a while to get this far. I have held off buying a Tablet because I'm waiting for this to take off.
