Could you make the installer a .exe file? Why is it a .tar file?? A puzzled eeePC user.

Hi Michael,
The OS labelled eeePC on our Download page is for Linux eeePC, and Windows eeePC users should just download the regular Windows version. We'll make the change on the website to make it more clear. - S

Another confused eee PC'er here. Downloaded the file and then spent ten minutes trying to figure out what to do with it...
