We are pleased to announce the Against Malaria Foundation and Celtx have joined together in the fight against malaria. Get involved and participate in the Celtx Against Malaria Students Challenge, the new initiative challenging students to join the fight against malaria!
The PSA video below - created by New York based filmmaker / photographer, and long-time Celtx user, Zack Wilson - is guaranteed to move you ... and help 'you' make your media matter!
The Media Challenge
Help save lives by putting your creativity and talent to use! Create a video, film, TV ad, script, or any other type of media that will help educate the public about malaria and inspire others to donate $5 to the cause.
What Do I Get From It?
Most importantly, the satisfaction of knowing that your work is helping to save lives
- On January 15/09, creators of 3 different projects will receive the honor of determining the countries of distribution of 5,000 malaria bednets
- Ten projects will be selected at random to receive a Celtx jacket and 1GB USB key
- Select projects posted on the Celtx Against Malaria - Students Challenge page will be linked to and promoted on the Against Malaria and Celtx web sites
How to Get Involved
- Use Celtx to create an inspiring media project (video, film, TV ad, script, etc.)
- Between October 1 - December 31, 2008, tag your project camstudentschallenge' and publish your project to the Celtx Against Malaria Students Challenge site http://pc.celtx.com/tag/camstudentschallenge
Donations
- Creating media isn't the only way to get involved. Anyone can visit the Against Malaria Foundation /CeltxNets site and donate $5 to buy one bednet and help save a life.
- ***The school with the most individual donators will be awarded a high definition camera, courtesy of Celtx. So be sure to include the name of your school when you make your donation!!
Media Entries:
- Students may submit media in any format
- The length of the media created is unregulated
- The language of the media created is unregulated, however all foreign language entries must include a summary of the project in English
