And which festival is that, you ask? Well these industry heads would be talking about the Austin Film Festival (and Conference) of course, scheduled to take place at the Driskill Hotel and the Stephen F. Austin Hotel from October 11-18, 2007.
This fest is a Who's Who of professional screenwriters, filmmakers and industry executives. So if you're so inclined, do like the banner says and buy your badge before September 17 and save!
Award recipients this year include Oliver Stone for his 'Extraordinary Contribution to Filmmaking', and to John Milius for the Distinguished Screenwriter Award. Go here to browse the list of currently confirmed panelists .
Also of note at this year's 14th Fest is the return of the Young Filmmakers Competition, in which the best teen (ages 13-18 ) filmmaking from around the USA will be showcased.
