And the Winners Are.....

logo-notype.png The wait is over, Folks! Last night winners of the Firefox Flicks Ad Contest were announced in an Awards ceremony at the San Francisco International Film Festival. While the contest concludes the initial launch of the Flicks campaign, the campaign itself will continue throughout 2006.

As an Official Friend of the Firefox Flicks Ad contest, the Celtx Team would like to extend a hearty CONGRATULATIONS to the winners, and to everyone who participated. Clearly there's some pretty creative talent out there.

View the Winners and Honourable Mentions below. Enjoy!

Cheers!

Video Site Launched for Firefox Flicks Ad Contest

Firefox Flickslogo-notype.pngThe folks at Firefox have gone live with their Flicks Contest video site.
So head on over and check out some of these really great entries. You can rate and vote on your favorite and share your comments with others. And if you want to be part of the grassroots ad campaign, you can embed the videos right into your own web pages, email them to friends, and even subscribe to a feed that's updated whenever a new video is added. 2-3 new ads will be posted each day.

Over at the Firefox Flicks Backstage blog, there are some pretty interesting stories too about some of the ad creators and how they went about making their ads.

Since Mozilla launched the contest back in December 2005, over 150 ads have been submitted!! Tomorrow's the deadline and the submissions are still flowing in. The grand prize winners will be announced early the week of April 24th and then flown to San Francisco to attend the San Francisco International Film Festival's Awards Night Gala on April 27th.

So if you have a winning idea, (have never been to SF - heh), and think you can create, produce and submit within 24 hours, then ummm.... you better get started!

G'day and Good Luck!
Sheila
